Star Wars: Blood Ties Review

Blood Ties #1Yet another tale of the Fett man toughing it out in some of the Galaxy’s most un ruling territories. Just before the Clone Wars, Jango was given a task that would apparently alter the course of the now famed Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett as he struggles to continue to bring honor his late Father. The events take place two years before the Battle of Yavin and five years after.  In my opinion, The story is good, there was some cool action scattered about, but mostly seemed to be a build up to what now may seem to be a very odd tale in Boba Fett’s rise into becoming the most feared Bounty Hunter. The next set of comics to be released on April, 25th, picks up with the news that no Fett fan would like to hear: Boba Fett is Dead! Yeah right. This makes me wonder how many times Boba has died and come back. I’m interested to see what happens though. Back to the review, Blood Ties is one of my favorites, I dig the story so far, although the whole “clone connection” thing runs a little dry, and some how those Kaminoans must of had some shitty security considering that this story does in fact deal with yet another one of Jango’s clones gone AWOL. Besides dealing with that it seems to be good considering it’s building up to the supposed first ”death” of Boba. I also like how it shows Boba’s dedication to continually honor a dead man. The artwork is pretty good too, makes it another enjoyable Fett comic, with just enough detail without it being overdone, and a lot less exaggeration as seen in a lot of the previously done comics.  Very distinguished outlining matched with the ink to make a near-realistic feel.
