BearZombies Tests Pixton: Online Comic Creator
I can’t even begin to tell you all how badly I wish I could create my own comics. I lack the artistic prowess to draw anything out and as far as writing goes… well I think it would be safe to say that ideas for stories may be the best path for me. So, I have ventured out into the interweb and started looking for various free programs to test out their ability to help somebody like me to work on comic type stuff. A lot of what I have seen helps create web comics with a few panels and little artistic input. This brings me to Pixton. I have literally JUST started looking at it and created one comic on it. It has preset characters, preset panel layouts, and preset backgrounds. Your creativity is limited and scope of story is kind of muted due to some guidelines for what can be written. It gives you the option to upgrade which will give you whole page spreads and many more intricate page layouts. This may be good for some one-shot online comics, but other than that it’s kind of shitty. I know there has to be a shit ton of free crap out there I haven’t seen yet so my adventure continues.
Also, I made this with Pixton:
